Key West is an island in the Florida Straits in the US state of Florida. The City of Key West comprises all or portions of the distinct islands of Dredgers' Key, Fleming Key, Sunset Key, and the northern half of Stock Island. The bustling island is well-known for its watersports, active nightlife, beaches, historical monuments, and pastel conch-style architecture. Sloppy Joe's bar, a famous Key West hangout of writer Ernest Hemingway, is located on one of the most lively strips of shops, bars, and cafés anywhere.

Begin near the heart of town at the Key West City Cemetery, which provides a taste of Key West's history as well as its quirky sense of humor, as shown by gravestones that say "I told you I was sick" and "At least I know where he's sleeping tonight."
