We had an overall positive experience with a couple of snags. We rented a lightweight transport wheelchair. The renter got back to us very quickly via text and coordinated the delivery, which was also very quick. We ended up getting a slightly heavier chair, which turned out to be okay (altho the transport chair would have been preferable), and the renter asked if that was acceptable before delivering it. The wheelchair arrived without the foot rests, so we had to contact them to ask for them to be delivered. When they arrived they were in a soaking wet cardboard box, which was used to protect the foot rests from heavy rain, but the foot rests ended up getting soaked, too, so the recipient needed to dry them off (they're sizable) and get rid of the cardboard box and wet plastic. When you're a senior, in pain, w/ poor mobility (the chair was delivered to a senior community), those kinds of things feel burdensome. Ideally, the delivery person would have taken the big soggy box back with them, and dried the foot rests off before dropping them off. The renter was contacted about this and all they said was: "I don't need the box back." Clearly, they didn't care about the soaking wet foot rests. We did get the chair quickly, though, which is what we needed, and the initial contact with the renter was fast and thorough via text. Although this delivery worked out in the end, we'd probably go to a nearby med supply store in the future to make sure we get the chair we want, w/ all the parts included.
