Ordered about 2 months in advance. 2 days before trip was informed that there was a shortage of wheelchairs could they substitute a transport chair. After researching weight limitations etc. agreed but was concerned about ease of pushing through streets of NYC. They said to try and if we didn't like it they would refund fee. Then right before arrival they text and found/delivered the wheelchair we originally ordered! The hotel, however, after 3 hour wait and f/u call to bellhop delivered a transport chair. We tried out in room and down elevator and stopped at bellhop desk to inquire about the wheelchair we were told was there. They checked their storage room and there it was and we showed them the text photo of the same chair. We traded out and it was so much easier to push on the sidewalks and bumps of the streets. Chair was in good working condition, folded easily and slipped into truck of taxi with no problems. Only issue was figuring out how to open it back up [use the handles that you push with to pull apart- don't use the armrests to try and pull apart/open seat]. Very pleased with chair and service.
